He is Associate Professor, Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories Department, National Institute Of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bhopal. He did Graduate Diploma in Accessory Design from NIFT, New Delhi, PGDBA in Marketing from Symbiosis Centre of Distance Learning. His Ph.D. area was Strategic social system design in the area of guild crafts from Rabindranath University.

The author has experience in handicraft exports industry as well as retail industry for nearly seven years. Past 13 years the author is associated with academics in NIFT.
