Meeta Mastani works at the intersection of sustainable development, culture, craft, design, arts and retail.
She has co founded and runs Bindaas Unlimited- a social enterprise that makes contemporary textile prints in natural colours and contemporary crafts with rural artisans in Rajasthan, Gujarat and U.P. since the last 27 years. Her work currently impacts about 500 people. She chooses to work with people in long term relationships. Over the years she has worked in a sustained manner with over 5000 male and female artisans, in an ethical and collaborative way.
She is a co-founder of online and offline stores in India.
She is a practitioner and collaborates with artists in different parts of the world. Her art work has shown at The V & A in London, The Dutch Costume Museum in Amsterdam, The Rijksmuseum at Twenthe, and The Madison Children’s Museum, amongst others.
She also teaches workshops on natural dyeing and hand printing of fibers.
