Kundlata Mishra Assistant Professor, NIFT, Mumbai has hands on experience working with various craft clusters including those in Waraseoni, Balaghat, Mandsaur, Yeola, Aurangabad and others. With a Master in textiles and clothing from Delhi University she has served as a Lecturer at Delhi University, with teaching experience of more than a decade. She closely worked with the crafts people in bamboo, textiles, leather and other craft clusters. She has also been a team member of research and development for a publication on Tribal Costumes of Gujarat, in 2009. At present she is working on a publication for Tribal Crafts of Gujarat with a team of her colleagues and students. Her research interests include Indian traditional textiles blending with the contemporary trends.
In addition she has worked extensively for design solutions for the special individuals by developing functional garments for the market.
